Trevor Lawton
Trevor has been interested in the outdoors from an early age and has many years experience of outdoor pursuits including walking, back packing, climbing, sailing and kayaking. He works as a voluntary and part-time ranger for the Peak District National Park and has been a member of the very busy Edale Mountain Rescue Team for 16 years and team leader for the last four. Trevor has always been a keen amateur photographer and has become much more active in this area over the last couple of years with a particular interest in the latest digital imaging techniques. He has been instrumental in developing Beyond Hope's vision.
Wendy Butler
Wendy is a talented artist who draws much of her inspiration from the landscapes of the Hope Valley and its surroundings. Wendy's work reflects her love of the colours, textures and changing light of the Peak District. She has taught art for many years and is well versed in working with people of different levels of artistic experience. She lives in the village of Hope and knows the area intimately.
Paul McGreavy
An experienced expedition leader, traveller and outdoor enthusiast, Paul has led several expeditions to places such as the Bolivian Andes, the Iceland icecaps, the Karakjoram, Tian Shan and the Taklamakan Desert in China. He has worked with both adult and youth groups in throughout the world. He is an experienced mountaineer, who in recent years has taken to travelling using canoes, kayaks, bikes, skis, horses and camels. He lives in the Derbyshire village of Hope and is a member of the Edale Mountain Rescue Team.
Isobel Murray (Izzy)
has been an enthusiastic walker, kayaker and cyclist for the past 22 years. She enjoys teaching outdoor skills to people of all ages from school children to the more experienced hiker, and has led a number of trips to developing countries. Having worked as a volunteer Ranger in the past, and drawing on her wider experience as a qualified teacher she brings a breath of knowledge to her courses.
